Re-ignite your creative energies in colonial Mexico, with its magical colors and charm, its exotic food and culture. San Miguel de Allende, a historic treasure high in the Sierra Madre mountains of central Mexico, stands still in time with its pastel-colored houses, centuries old churches and cobbled streets. A UNESCO world heritage site ranked among the top travel destinations of the world, San Miguel offers a slow pace, fabulous food and a cultural experience not to be forgotten.

Reenergize your writing and your life in beautiful, historic San Miguel de Allende!

Refresh, re-invigorate - and complete – a long-held dream, using the WildWriting techniques as a springboard. We plan the work, and work the plan.

We’ll have plenty of luxurious, relaxed writing time, combined with enthralling, delicious, explorations: because we Can!

As ever, we will also write from our seen and felt experiences in this town of constantly astonishing details: angels in the architecture, the open cafes, the amazing doors….we’ll jot and scribble, make poems and notes…pieces of overheard conversations. We’ll let the town and our traveling adventures profoundly enter us and our writing.

Our San Miguel workshop includes 12 hours of writing class, ample time for personal writing, daily progress check-ins, and 3 hours of private meeting time with Judyth.

Day 1

Bienvenidos! Arrive to our private villa and settle in before a cocktail reception where we’ll get acquainted and discuss our plans for the week. Dine on traditional Mexican dishes.

Discover San Miguel. After breakfast, we'll begin our first in-depth writing class, followed by lunch and a guided walking tour of town with churros and chocolate. Then explore on your own or spend time with paper and pen. Free evening and dinner.

Writing & Reading. A morning writing class, followed by lunch. Then time on your own to devote to writing. Cocktails and class readings in the evening. Dinner on your own.

Experience Mexican Cuisine. A free day for writing (or spa treatments) before meeting in the late afternoon for a traditional Mexican cooking class with dinner.

Back to the Book! An intensive morning writing class with lunch. Schedule private time with Judyth. Dinner of your own.

Write, Shop, Eat. A morning writing class with readings and a review of all your new found tools will occupy most of the day. A free afternoon allows for last minute shopping or packing. Our farewell dinner will be on a colonial patio with margaritas.

$1900 per person, single occupancy

The tour price includes six nights accommodations in a private colonial villa, all meals and activities listed in itinerary, as well as the cooking class dinner. Also included are 12 hours of class time and 3 hours of private time with Judyth (2 in San MIguel, 1 online).

Not included: transportation to and from Leon airport, but we'll be happy to help you with the arrangements.

We can also accommodate a friend or spouse who wants to join the tour but not attend the writing classes. The cost is $900.
